Interested how many Mobile Platform Engineers are in this community? I don't see a dedicated channel for it and wondering if there are enough people interested in something like #mobile

Hello everyone. Nice to be here. I help our customers build modern-app platforms using VMware's Tanzu product suite. If anyone else here is using that toolset, I would be interested to know you 🙂

Hey all 👋 I just published my first ever article on Medium (so please be kind ;-) about a topic that should be close to everyone’s hearts (at least if you’re in tech) -> the impact of cloud-native computing and the move to IaaS on our green plant. Link to Medium article: https://lnkd.in/eVnNY7gt Or you can find the full article in the PerfectScale blog section.

Hello all 👋 I have a question for you related to this thread and the feedback of @Raquel Pau Fernandez. The goal of platform engineering is to provide the right tools to developers to make them more autonomous. Do you think that Platform Engineers must approve resources that are created by the developers? Or the platform should prevent them directly to create resources that they are not supposed to create? Or a mix of both? Happy to have your feedback

Hi all. In my department I manage IAM AWS permissions manually, I wrote a few scripts that developers use to generate their own temporary keys, cloud formation templates to help automate IAM resource creation, and so on. I am wondering if this falls into platform engineering space. And if there are existing tools with nice UIs that I can just use to handle permissions and integration with our own identity management like Okta.

We’re partnering with Puppet on the 2022 State of DevOps Survey: Platform Engineering Edition. This year’s research will focus on the rising popularity of the platform team model and whether it helps deliver on the promised benefits of DevOps. For the last two years, Puppet has donated to a charitable cause for every survey response. This year is no different! $2 for every person who completes the survey will be donated to the National Coalition for the Homeless and World Central Kitchen – respondent's choice. Please help us out and take the survey here: https://bit.ly/3BNDdQ7

Hey community. I'm helping a startup in the developer-first security space. They are working on a new addition to the company called DevSecMesh. It's an upcoming product to automate security in all parts of your tech stack. By combining Security as Code, security playbooks, compliance controls, and incredible open-source security tools. Think of it as an extension of your security team or your security team if you don't have one. I'm trying to validate my hypothesis so I have a few questions. 1. Do you take part in the security process as a developer from the beginning? If not, who is responsible for that in your company? 2. Do you use security tools/software, and if so, which ones? e.g. Snyk, SonarQube, JIT etc. 3. What kind of problems do you face regarding security? 4. What got you started with incorporating security? eg. Enterprise customers, regulations, etc.
