I’m fairly new here and our company is currently moving breaking up our monolith, so I would love some initial feedback if possible: When breaking up a monolith into microservices, is it crucial to have service ownership already defined or no?

Hey community, I’m trying to research the use of open-source components in the security space and figured this would the best place to start. If you have 4 minutes please fill out the survey : https://sprw.io/stt-xxovJuSdXgFQuE4zh2h9cb As soon as I have the research paper done, you will the first ones to get it. Thank you so much!

Our CTO, Nati Shalom writes about three uses cases on how ServiceNow fills in the gap perfectly through the Self-Service Catalog as well as the ability to customize those environments through the ServiceNow no-code/ low-code Flow Designer interface. http://bit.ly/3WIzXyU

After a very suspicious Zoom servers problem :face_in_clouds: last week, the rescheduled webinar ā€œDestroy latency and kill pods: how not to manage your K8s resourcesā€ with @Natan Yellin is finally happening today. Natan is going to list some of the most common misconceptions about Kubernetes resource management and how not to get them wrong. He'll do his best to destroy some clusters and performance along the way. Be sure to tune in! November 8, 7 PM CET, 1 PM CDT https://www.meetup.com/platform-engineers-atx-online/events/289541044/

Hey everyone! AWS re:Invent 2022 is happening soon on November 28th and has tons to offer and a good chance to connect with the AWS Cloud and Data community. Inspired by this year's KubeCon, we're trying to build an unofficial Slack Community bridging the networking gap by providing a platform where we can discuss sessions, share resources and allow members to schedule meetings with other re:Invent 2022 attendees, speakers and partners. If your organisation is a sponsor and has a booth, you can invite attendees to your area by posting about your agendas in an almost virtual expo as well! If you or your colleagues will be attending or wish to know more about the event, feel free to join the unofficial slack community here: https://reinventslack.tech

Hey everyone, as of yesterday, we released our new search ranking algorithm. Sourcegraph.com's new search ranking algorithm uses the PageRank algorithm to measure code reuse and return the most relevant results to save you time and increase productivity. https://lnkd.in/eSxUSuC3 This is what our Head of Engineering Steve Yegge had to say: "With PageRank-powered search, the clear majority of the search results you see are relevant, reusable code. Which means developers can find what they need much faster." "Sourcegraph is now far and away the highest-relevance code search engine. But we are far from finished!"- Steve Yegge We would love some feedback and please feel free to get in touch if you wanted to find out more šŸ˜„

Hey everyone, I wrote a little piece analyzing the 290+ booths at KubeCon 2022 by extracting all the text on the booths. Also added fun rankings for (e.g. ā€˜boldest message’ -> which obviously features humanitec) and graphics like word clouds -> Some people here might find this interesting to understand what’s up-and-coming. https://www.uptime.build/post/i-analyzed-290-booths-at-kubecon-here-are-the-devops-trends-for-2023

[Blog Post] Helm has been the most used and adopted Kubernetes package manager. Though helm helps you to easily deploy even your most complex application over k8s, there are certain challenges with helm cli that need to be addressed. Look at this blog where I tried to cover some of the challenges and how they can be solved using the lightweight Helm Dashboard. Feel free to give any suggestions/feedback https://devtron.ai/blog/the-ultimate-kubernetes-dashboard-for-helm/

Once a year we determine the current state of evolution of serverless technologies around the world. What is serverless used for, in which industries, how is it tested, which tools and methods are used, how teams build and deploy serverless functions, what they are using for cpmpute? Take part in our worldwide survey and win one of three $50 Amazon vouchers. The full results will be sent to you and also published next week at the Serverless Summit. I'm struggling on the definition of an IDP and the location of it. The cloud providers provide an very consistent experience for developers in terms of self-service, APIs etc. Do many organizations use f.e. Azure or AWS as their IDP, or is an IDP always running in the premise of the organization?
