Hi, I work as a generalist systems administrator for an organization of 50 employees that is basically a small SaaS provider. I am part of a team if 2 that manages all the infrastructure and am very interested in devops. We have about 95% of our workload on-prem with a plan to move everything to the cloud eventually, but with all the work and the inability to hire it won't tomorrow. I would be interested in platform engineer but I think we're too far from that to even think about implementing that.

Hi Folks, I'm a senior architect in the telecom industry. Currently working to build out a new k8s platform using GCP's Anthos on-prem (GKE). I've been a devops practitioner since around 2013, but I've always felt a bit too stretched to make it fit the vision. I'm curious to see how platform engineering may improve upon the momentum of devops. Perhaps this is the missing piece? 🙂

hi everyone 👏 Tomek here, from Poland, working as Senior DevOps Engineer (I'm not a fan of that role name, but that's another discussion 😉 ) in German consulting company called QualityMinds GmbH. Currently, we create a new platform based on k8s and Azure. In the past years I had Architects and Leading roles, but decided to pivot a bit and focus purely on technical aspects & tasks related with platform engineering. I'm the happiest man at work when kubectl is my top used tool. In private, father of two and a husband, love playing squash. Happy to join this community to learn and share 👐
