Anyone know good alternatives to something like
    dogshellwrap
? I like it a lot tbh, but fear with vendor lock-in as principle. I noticed there are few wrappers written for
    textfile
with Prometheus and available here: https://github.com/prometheus-community/node-exporter-textfile-collector-scripts Interested to know any other alternatives from the community. 👀 Context: monitoring one off shell commands and cronjobs.

Hi all, Would love to know what tools/products people use for observability? SaaS products like Datadog, New Relic, or Open source tools such as, Prometheus, OpenSearch, etc or home grown tools?

Hi all. I am looking for a way to send alerts over email to our clients who have signed up for our monitoring tool. With increase in client base and the usage of our tool, the number of these alerts generated per minute are increasing. I am looking for a sustainable way to keep sending these emails for these use cases without worrying about being rate limited by SES or Gmail (the sender is a gmail workspace account). Any leads on how to handle this scalably for increasing traffic? I am probably going to hit this limit in the next 3 months, so looking to identify ways to take care of it.

Hi all, I’d love to organize like a virtual event around observability and we share different point of views. Who’s in? 📣
