There’s a review of ‘Free’ IDPs <https://thenewstack.io/the-hidden-costs-of-free-internal-developer-portals/|here> (I think we all know that the author means Backstage).  Bear in mind that the article is written by the Founder of Configure8.  That may give you a comparison, albeit from an author that has aa declared conflict.
