Hi @Gabriel Kruse I am checking it out. I am researching and writing about Platform Product Managers and the role (potentially) of Product Managers in leading the internal developer platform initiative. Do you feel PM has a role when deploying an IdP when a tool enables everything to be stitched together with existing templates?

Hi @Timothy Fong I think we on the team even have varying perspectives on this. Apologies for the delay, have a big launch coming up and was traveling back and forth. Hopefully this helps still 🙂 Overall, the tool is only as good as the problems it solves. We have heard of some large companies that build in a bit of a vacuum and then two years after launch the Platform team is still struggling to get to 15% adoption for a specific feature. Product can play an incredibly helpful role in a couple of ways: 1. Treating your engineering team like a customer and interviewing them to find out what their real pain points are and how widely that pain is felt. This will help you address the priority of the capabilities that you should address first 2. Assisting with evaluating the overall roadmap for the company and seeing what the highest leverage activity might be for the company when implementing a developer platform. Maybe it makes sense to purchase rather than build if you don’t have the horsepower to dedicate a full-time project team to this.

Thanks @Gabriel Kruse this is interesting. That's a good story, without revealing specific companies, is there a way to get more granular on that use case? I'm writing up a newsletter series for the community and want to capture people's real-world perpsectives.
