1) have champions of the vision 2) highlight wins weekly when people adhere to the vision 3) be ok with object lessons when people don’t 4) have clear business outcomes outlined - have engineers give solutions to them 5) be aware this model puts a lot on your tech leads to curate and write down a shared technical strategy it comes down to leadership

You have mentioned this already in your question, but re-iterating - definitely add standards work right from the beginning. People like having specific rules to follow when they do something new (especially for worj that’s not necessarily part of their own deliverables)
