I think this is it here. It seems like what he's talking about—at least from the context—is emphasizing product sense over A/B tests for decision making, elevating designers, and being able to intuitively articulate Positioning as a criteria for making decisions. All of which leaves me wondering, what were those PMs doing instead? And if it was glorified project management, is that really their fault or is it structural/cultural?
