Hey @Rohit Ghumare, I’ve spent quite some time to watch it few times and making notes, to reconstruct the overall thread of his thoughts (it felt less structured than usual).
In the end, I think I’ve got what he is frustrated with - too much of newborn advocates, focused mostly on tech&tools and overpromising magical outcomes.

the point I like about, PE hype? & how could a message go possibly wrong, PE messaging ..... the job of the SE is only to write code, is it? focus primarily on tools & their complexity of use, message outcome tools & their complexity of use is somebody else problem, IDP -> platform team, what about the design consideration problem, they even bigger, PE doesn't necessarily think about at least from the message is.

I think the general point here is that Platform Engineering is not immune to the same problems we've had with DevOps, Agile, and pretty much every attempt to improve software delivery since 1950. Anyone who approaches these concepts with a thin understanding will create a version of what they already do, using the nomenclature of the "new thing" and nothing else.
