I know it's not directly answering the question, but I had to pick up a lot of PM duties and it helped a lot. The other thing that made a big difference was practicing building roadmaps. Do you have an internal tool for visual roadmapping? Or are they making you use JIRA?

For reference, I've been in a product role for the last two years (after 6 as an engineer), but to-date have been working on a data product. Our company is in the early stages of defining what it would mean to have a true platform engineering organization, and I'm leaning in on the product side.
