Not entirely sure I agree with the ending part, to me the whole point of a IDP ( emphasis on the I for internal is that its usually built by a internal team ideally a platform team most of the time using open source software or in house ), there is OSS software out there that can be built into a IDP to allow what the article mentions, the whole well dont waste time incorporating this into a IDP purchase our solution instead rubs me the wrong way to be honest

Now if your a small/medium business and even a startup and dont have a platform team by all means purchase a commercial IDP solution and add something like perfectscale to it that makes perfect business sense
