By edge are we meaning edge of network devices? Like collection of sensor data etc... That is exactly what my current work is....

When we created the channel, we did so from the vantage point that any platform engineering project should take into account the distributed (and in our case on-prem) edge as an equivalent to the centralized private and public clouds. If that helps 😅
