its an awful messaging platform for tech
at least 2 years ago, to get code formatted text (which wasn't even syntax highlighting, just monospaced blocks) you had to go into 3 sub menus. No keybind, no shortcut like the 3 tildes
and if you use threads, everytime someone posts in the thread it bumps the thread down in the main window, meaning that your chat history is no longer linear

I love hated slack threads cause it was so easy to miss things
