I'm def missing a few things from never working on the k8s team: • The inside jokes • k8s admin experience on my resume 😂
z
• art of the deal was a Jordan joke, I forget the exact circumstances but it came about from the California trip where Harsha was explaining his arranged marriage and how he's vegetarian despite eating chicken and sushi • everything is nick's fault • Nick at one point had a wedding like every weekend, for months • Nick's washer broke and he went through, I dunno, 4-5 attempts to get a new one delivered, where he announced that he'd not be in the office all day, and then he'd later tell us the hilarious story of how his washer failed to get delivered and in the meantime he was having to use a landromat

Ahh, okay, the last 2 make more sense now. Thanks!
z
those last 2 were absolute genius creations from Tim

I just don't have that kind of gif-crafting skill 😾
I can do some okay "Cut out this background to make something transparent" though
animation is where I have never ever tried
j
The K8s team lore is deep and wide
I think I equated arranged marriages to the art of the deal given the heavy level of involvement of parents on both sides
In addition to them having to approve candidates
The actual emoji is a direct excerpt from an application form that Harsha showed us on his phone
a
where is the overlap between arranged marriages and sushi?
j
When I say application, please think resume advertising Harsha to prospective brides
Sushi is a much longer story
@Harsha Patil (MMHP) tell your story
z
'application' was being generous, it was like a mobile pdf viewer 😄

The story of why our slack bot was named Bob and was a picture of a blueberry cake is good lore too

I felt so proud when you pinned my question to the channel

in my github there I committed the story of bob. shared/claussen/notes/bob (maybe?)
Since the github migration isn't happening now... Someone can likely find it - unless they nuked my account.
