I had a method for figuring out the contours of someone's technical knowledge -- hit anything having to do with web development or infrastructure and ask them progressively harder questions in each area till they started missing them. Then move on to another discipline. Pros i knew exactly their shape and their strengths and weaknesses, Cons no one ever wanted to work for me ( 0 offers excepted) after i put them through that grueling interview method.

It’s actually a good way of interviewing, you just need to work with the candidate to manage their stress and make it fun, participate, explain etc.

I would also hate that interview.
However I'd personally love that as a skill evaluation to find my SWOT
