Hi all, At Qt Group, we have been working over the last few months with Forrester Consulting on a Market Research to understand the challenges and benefits of adopting a Platform Engineering approach in Embedded Development. The Thought Leadership Paper based on the above market research is presented here and we’ll have a webinar presenting our results on October 3. Background We conducted an online survey of 317 embedded software decision-makers and influencers at organizations in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France and sectors of Automotive, Medical, Manufacturing, Consumer Appliance. Survey participants were asked to underline the key drivers for implementing a platform engineering strategy, the business benefits, the challenges developers face today, and the methods used to support platform engineering strategies. Survey participants included key decision-makers, influencers, or users driving their organizations’ platform engineering strategy that have implemented and/or planning to implement a software platform engineering strategy in the next 12 months. The survey component was completed in April 2024 and finalized in June 2024.
