The fact that many IT organizations build a platform to go after every use-case rather than starting with a set of user needs. Instead, why aren't more organizations focusing on more specialized targeted platforms that are more likely to solve problems and become successful.

I am always interested in those topics as IMO a platforms architecture should be able to cover 100% (or at least way more than 80%) of cases, but the actual provided services very well might start (or even stay) more focused.
