Good morning Allblob waver I am a Product Manager within Platform Engineering and I am in the process or writing a new document to pitch the strategy for the IDP. I was wondering whether there is anybody in this group who has already covered the topic of "*Buy vs Build*" and whether you have a top 3 list of external vendors that you tested (e.g. Humanitec, Cortex, etc). Hi Silvia, in our group, we have already covered this topic, "Buy vs Make" and after external vendors scouting, the choice has been for Buy option. In the ranking list, we have seen Backstage, Mia and Port as the top three, but also other kind of vendors have been analysed. I do not know if I have answered to your questions, correctly.

Hey! So you are/were looking for an IDP Portal solution? Which one did you go for? We - right or wrong - refer to the Internal Developer Platform(s) as the combined offerings from the platform teams such as Compute, Storage, Monitoring stack etc. And then for example Backstage forms like a frontend portal for the IDP itself.

We didn’t. We decided to create a team that would help dev teams use the platform.
