<@U02ECFQ4155>, I'm curious why "Writing new code" or "Building new tooling" wasn't listed as one of the main areas of focus in this survey? If I simply saw the results of the main areas of focus listed here, I would not think it was from platform engineers. I would think it applied to SREs or more traditional Ops where different solutions are just glued together.

Also, I don't think "DevOps is Dead" is accurate. Platform engineering embraces DevOps by allowing developers to own their services from start to end without requiring them to learn all the details about what the platform is doing under the hood. Just my two cents

Great points <@U04377E4SFK> and sorry this slipped through the cracks. We also asked about building new tooling, we just didn't highlight it in this recap, but we should you are right. And you are also right on the DevOps is Dead. Platform engineering actually enables true DevOps. It's more of a headline.
