Hey everyone <!here> pretty crazy amount of posts these days from people who aren’t actually engaging in the community and are just sharing vendor stuff. How does everyone feel about it?
The rule was that people can share self promo so long as it’s only 20% of what they share. But it’s not really working with the amount of individual vendors there are.
Should we be a bit harsher and start deleting some of this stuff?

I would prefer to see this kind of promotional content in dedicated channels rather than in the
general
channel. Perhaps it’s an option to keep
general
a bit cleaner.

I second Till. Promotional content in itself is not a bad thing but I like to be able to decide when I want to consume it - and that’s just so much more easy if its concentrated into its own channel. Like the news that are pushed to #C07J2DCEWEM.

LeadDev Slack has a somewhat opinionated way that works for them, as suggested above, and the channels this content doesn’t belong in are moderated.

Perhaps resurrecting the #C06EDN0N9MH channel or day of the month for promos?

A channel dedicated to promos makes sense to me. Also I have noticed many of the posts in #C02EUDQR5JS have nothing to do with opportunities to do actual PE.
