I have never heard a developer say they are spending too much time coding, so I don’t see how applying AI to the coding aspect of a developer’s role can improve developer experience. This is the biggest disconnect we've heard/seen. The goal is to increase velocity in many cases and since leadership hasn't figured out how to free up and focus developer time we end up with "AI writes the code" as appearing to be the easy path. It isn't. It is the ruinous path. Good article.
