Anyone doing or have successfully ran monthly stakeholder meetings? We're looking to kick things off at my company and I'm nervous it will fizzle out quickly and lose its value if not done right. Any pitfalls to avoid or tips to keep folks engaged and wanting to come back? Our goal for having this meeting is to ultimately stay connected with our customers/stakeholders so we receive timely feedback and also an opportunity for us to showcase what we've been up to.

• Share the agenda prior to the meeting so audience can decide it's relevant to them • Always show the business value • Start with context to the problem you are trying to solve with what you are doing
j
• what topics would you be discussing? • what’s the meeting frequency and duration? • what about format?
consider different audiences for these types of sessions as they would have different wants / needs / expectations

Thanks all. I have an agenda in mind and sharing it out in advance is a great tip! The current format is just screen sharing some JIRA dashboards and potentially team demos. The audience I'm targeting are engineering and product leaders. SEM, product managers, TPMs
j
i note those are very diverse audiences
demos while excellent are probably a different forum from a roadmap update / town hall style forum
implement a feedback loop for people to offer suggestions around format, duration, content
especially around what would make the forum more valuable to them
make sure you are leveraging all channels - in person, virtual meeting (record and distribute), email, slack

Just make sure not to make the presentation too technical. Think about what the stakeholders are expecting to have in return from the Platform, and refer to that rather than explain the implementation details or plan

Great tips! I'll think through this a bit more and see what makes sense to incorporate.
