Hello peeps! I've been reading up on the reference architecture for Internal Developer Platforms. What I get from reading this material and from a lot of other literature on this topic is that there are 5 planes and how tooling should be distributed across these planes. I'm wondering if anyone in the community has adopted this architecture or have designed their org around this architecture. I'd also like to dig deeper into why and how we ended up with this as a reference architecture - what were the forces, opposing tensions and constraints that shaped the "5-planes" architecture. Any discourse, videos, literature on this topic would be very much appreciated 🙌

Great question @Swarup Karavadi! There were lots of examples at platformcon in 2024. You can see them here: https://platformengineering.org/platform-tooling Also - I would recommend asking this channel in #C02DF3KKNES. You’ll get way more answers there:)
