Not sure what other Engineering Leaders think about this, but I have noticed over the years that

learning from our engineers

was looked at as a weakness not a strength and I totally disagree. I was in many positions in my career in need to step up my game and learn about a new technology that I didn't have much experience with, especially when leading teams that work on it, and I have found that one of the best ways to boost my learning was to ask my team questions and learn from them.
