hey wondering if anyone (at work) is paying for any AI tools beyond: chatBots, Copilot, Cursor/Windsurf/etc.... As an example: greptile.com (never used this tool, just mentioning it as an example) but I'm fishing for ANY AI tooling you/your team thinks is worth paying for beyond these "everyone uses it" stuff. maybe stuff like: • better code review • security patching • bug fixing • etc.... like i said, just fishing for what folks find useful in this AI landscape.

according to my knwoledge modern companies use ~10 AI tools, not only the basic LLMs

can you explain a bit more on what some of these phrases mean? "my knowledge" -- is this first hand? do you do research on this? stuff you've read? "modern companies" -- what is a modern (or better yet, what is NOT a modern company?) "AI Tools" what are you counting here? Jira has some AI summary tool, are you counting that? Slack has some AI summary thing... are you counting that? I only care about stuff that is part of a dev workflow.

the underestimated: Gemini

@Randy Clinton every company is different, they use more/less 10x AI tools today, some in "production" mode, some only for experimentation, but they pay for ~10 licenses on a monthly basis, JIRA/Slack - don't ask me how to count it 🙂

where are you getting any of this information from?
@Ben i'd probably count that in the same "chatBots" and Copilot stuff; i pick a Gemeni model a lot when using copilot and chat things out with it. im more interested in tooling beyond just access to the models
more specifically im curious about Dev Tooling that teams pay for using AI
