Would it make sense to create separate channels for jobs in the US and everywhere else? Although, not sure how to handle the 100% remote jobs... 🤔

Agreed with you @Joanna Iwańska

Personally I would disagree, largely because it's hard to enforce with recruiters, and could lead to confusion

Either way, I think it would be helpful to ask people to prepend a flag emoji or [countryName(s)] to their post

If not separate channel, adding those details to JD would be helpful to differentiate

Keep it in Single Chat until it grows big enough.

Good suggestion!

In case of Global Jobs Channel or separate Job Channels for each country ? Kindly clarify for my understanding. thank you. regards, Salman Ahmad

@Qazi Salman : in case of remote jobs in a global jobs channel with flags, which country does the flag mark? The one where the company is sitting or where it is hiring? That might be confusing, in my opinion. (If they are hiring remote from another continent, then listing all countries as emojis is cumbersome too.)

Ben, I can’t speak to Ronnie’s idea. But, when I suggested prepend country flag emojis or [
CountryName(s)
]
, I meant it as a general suggestion, not a requirement. I think you might be overthinking it. My idea was to help job seekers quickly see if it was worth reading the job description. Here’s what I envisioned: • Global could be something like 🌎, 🗺️, or [global] • You could do something like [Western Europe] if it was fully remote & open to people in the EU, Switzerland, the UK, and such. I know “Western Europe” isn’t a perfect description since some people define it differently. But, at least it tells people in the Americas, Africa, & so on that it’s probably not worth reading the description
