How do you find online events related to platform engineering/devops? Any recommendations or strong opinions? I feel a bit out of touch with what the rest of the platform engineering industry is doing outside of my company. I like in person meetup.com events on relevant it groups, but I'm not finding that adequate. Slack helps, but it's not the same!

Meetup also has tons of online events around DevOps and platform engineering. They just might not be in the same timezone as you are. Filter out for online events and you should be able to find a few good ones. You can also checkout kube.events and dev.events. You can find a good number of online sessions and remote conferences around DevOps over there.

Also have a look for events focussed the hyperscaler of your choice e.g. AWS User Groups are in tonnes of cites all around the globe https://www.meetup.com/topics/amazon-web-services/all/
