New show: "Building Platforms with Kaspar" Hey everybody, couple years ago I worked on the reference architecture with our friends at McKinsey's platform team. That resonated a ton with all of you, my interpretation is that it just helped get inspiration for how IDPs could look like from an architecture lens. Just because I get so many questions around it I thought why not actually take designs for IDPs I'm seeing used IRL and demo them. So that's why I'm allocating 8 hours of my week (thank you to my wife btw!) and I just build demo setups and then explain/film golden paths on that setup. For my first episode I'm building on GCP using 👍 Port as the Frontend 👍 Humanitec as the Backend 👍 Terraform for IaC 👍 Datadog for Observability 👍 and a couple other tools and I'm showing the paths: 🙌 Create service from template to ready to code 🙌 Add new resource to existing workload 🙌 Spin up ephemeral environment You can find the first episode here: I'll record one every two weeks and I'd also love to invite all of you to reach out to me if you have an end to end architecture that you like and think it deserves to be shown.
