We’ve been working with some large customers on CI/CD acceleration for a few years, and those learnings led us to develop Varnish Orca (objects, registry, cache, artifacts) — a virtual registry manager that consolidates and accelerates registries for build and runtime artifacts. The Free version can be used to speed up access to public registries like DockerHub, while the Premium version adds support for caching and accelerating private registries. If you’ve ever run into build latency, backend overload, egress fees, or repo manager limits, this might help: https://www.varnish-software.com/orca A few quick notes: • Free license is valid until October 2026 (and will be renewed annualy). • Premium trial runs through December 31 2025 — but if you’d like to extend it while testing, just let me know. • Setup is fast — simple YAML config, usually up and running in under an hour. In early tests we’ve seen: • Up to 6.5× faster Git clones/fetches • Up to 10× fewer backend calls to Artifactory We’d love your feedback, ideas, or feature requests — especially from those dealing with large-scale CI/CD pipelines or complex multi-registry setups. Everything is self-service so you don't need to reach out but... I would love to hear from you so feel free to.
