Hey @Silvia Rhodes, for my two cents, I would recommend starting with whatever allows you to move fast to achieve your goals e.g. with most startups I have worked at the initial primary goal is to find product-market fit (to get more funding etc). Most of the time a PaaS-like platform is your best bet -- whether that's Heroku, AppEngine, or some serverless offering -- as this allows engineers to mostly focus on solving the biz problem
