as you may have guessed, bit of a fan of Platform Engineering and platform teams building Internal developer Platforms to allow devs to self service. The cloud is now too complex and I my belief is for platform teams to embed their knowledge in IDPs so that devs dont have to know all the infrastructure stuff for their app

I agree with you, today's complexity on cloud infrastructure needs a platform team working on internal standards and automation.
