I’m very interested in this conversation. I’m part of a group of people that used to run a meetup called LOPUG (London Platform User Group). It’s not run for a long time but we (Syntasso, the company I work for) have been talking about resurrecting this for the same reasons outlined by @Gillian Nieboer.

This is the meetup group for London Platform User Group (LoPUG). We used to be pretty active in pre-covid times and we're thinking about restarting in the New Year 🤔
