Big enterprises behaves quite different from open source communities. • Internal budgets • Silos • economical crisis All these things (along many others) can prevent implementing something that would work.... So.... finding the right balance between investment and roi would be the key to push an IDP to an enterprise.

I'll try and find the Adobe and Intuit talks they posted in my opinion their leading the creation of IDP using open-source in the enterprise space
