What is the main portion of your invoice?

Our largest line items are: • Custom Metrics • Hosts • Log ingestion and events • RUM sessions Vector is on the roadmap. I'm more wondering if anyone has positive experiences with external services like vantage.sh or competitors?

RUM sessions is tough to get a good analog for, outside of New Relic or CA, but if you want to talk about alterantives for the other stuff hit me up! (I don't work in this field right now, so my recs would at least be unbiased)

@Jeff Blasius I'd start with looking at label/tag values cardinality, it's usually a driving factor for number of distinct timeseries.

@Jeff Blasius since the largest item seem to be custom metrics. one optimisation could be to centralise your metrics than collecting the metrics at container/instance level. most often container level metrics are not needed for application metrics.
