What are the recommended practices to measure the success of platform team ? I am assuming that the successful platform are designed with the purpose to accelerate deliveries and reduce cognitive load from value stream teams but these are trailing metrics ? Do you have any recommendations ?

My recommendation for measuring IDPs are the MONK metrics: • Market share • Onboarding time • Net Promoter Score (NPS) • Key customer metrics The idea is to get a handle on the impact of the platform, to justify continuous funding for it.
