Hi guys, check out this use case from Israel, where flying robots help optimize fruit harvesting. Each of those robots is an edge device that analyzes real-time the quality of multiple fruits at the same time and makes decisions which ones to pick, which ones to drop etc. Drop me a note if you are interested how this is architectured - but sneak preview, this is about just as conventional as managing any k8s cluster, and we applied gitops to scale configurations across the fleet.

Interesting this came up I follow the Agri robotics space and was watching a video about them the other day ๐Ÿ˜‚, I have not seen dual robots with a teether used side by side like that before, not surprised k8s is used, I wouldn't mind getting some info about the architecture seems interesting

I attended their talk at Kubecon and can connect you to Pedro

much thanks, ill give it a watch ๐Ÿ™‚
j
enjoy!
@Hugo Pinheiro how come you're following Agri robotics? I feel like this is something that is a fiel that has been quite overshadowed despite its huge relevance for the society!
h
I think it's an interesting space especially since in most developed countries we have a declining population so robotics use in farms is most likely to increase, it seems like a very small field I guess the question is will the robots become cheaper if we scale their building
It has a lot of interesting tech, from stuff at the edge, to robotic vision and AI

How is north south traffic handled? Weโ€™re there complexities with ingress configuration?

Finally got around to watch the talk, that was super interesting I also picked kairos for my homelab nuc for similar reasons ๐Ÿ˜‚
