We ran an outcome mapping workshop (actually a couple sessions if I recall) that worked through discovery and distillation of a target that mapped to the organization objectives for the immediate, next & long term - the rough process is here https://www.infoq.com/articles/outcome-mapping-clarity - it’s currently being added into Liberating Structures 2. After mapping a value stream we would drill down on the discovered hotspots to identify dependencies and capabilities underpinning them, and then the plan was to do a feasibility spike on each as a platform offering (self service) - that approach is lifted from Flow Engineering https://flow.visible.is
