Hi y'all, what do people here use to manage SLO's ? 🤔
h
hey @Endre Karlson what do you mean by "manage SLO's" ? we are trying to use https://sloth.dev
e
How is ti working for you ?
h
in fact we are using CUE (cuelang.org) as the "front-end" api for users who are defining the expectations. Then using the transformation by cue, we are exporting as sloth definition yaml the input rules. Then using sloth to generate the prom rules for alerting (that implements the multi window multi burn framework of Google https://sre.google/workbook/alerting-on-slos/#6-multiwindow-multi-burn-rate-alerts)
the benefit is that : we are writing once the cue definition and transformation then it is very simple for the users of the service the express their needs and expectations then the tooling generates and deploys the rules 🙂
