Hi everyone!. One of my clients wants to implement an IDP by using OPA on AWS (an opensource Backstage customization for building AWS self-service platform). The thing is that internally OPA on AWS works with GitLab, so my question is, is there someone here with experience implementing OPA on AWS using Bitbucket or any other version control vendor? OPA on AWS architecture https://opaonaws.io/docs/techdocs/architecture

Hi Daniel. The OPA team (which I am on) has added support for GitHub as a version control system for our upcoming release. We are working on testing right now but hope to publish the release this week or next week. I realize that you asked about Bitbucket and not GitHub, but perhaps seeing the GitHub example would help you or others see how additional version control systems can be added.

Hi Daniel Thanks for reaching out! FYI - we have another customer looking to use bitbucket - (they may or may not) contribute that effort back to the project. Regardless, the next release will include agnostic gitProvider implementation - where you can simply implement your bit bucket API calls for several functions and the integration with OPA on AWS will be seamless - we can provide guidance once the release is out. thanks
