Developers, do you take responsibility for coding applications only or also shipping and running them from your end?

Then the question seems to be, what do you build? Very few developers are interested in managing or maintaining internal platforms in my experience (especially in the long run). Especially shipping & running that isn’t feature-based or help with the backlog they are trying to get through (although the initial shiny platform PoCs are always ever-present until they realize they have to run & maintain a growing capability set).
