Hi everyone Just wanted to know whether i should consider shifting to platform engineering or not! Because the job market for it low right now but it is estimated to grow in future. Should I continue with devops or consider platform engineering?

How are you defining these two things? Depending on who you ask they are both the same concepts applied in a different way.

If it's a next step in DevOps, then you can take any DevOps CI/CD role while you are a Platform Engineer.

Ohk so both of them are same in a way. It's like being a subset.

Alternatively... Personally I do not look to be SRE - I know it is more popular now, but I think it is a fake popularity. SRE probably is mostly implemented wrong in lots of organizations, I don't want to end up in a on-call, sysadmin maintanance in a messy environment without a platform. That's why I want to continue the journey with Platform Engineering, it looks more creative.
