For now its GUI because we have a very opinionated workflow for solving our realm of business problems. We've thought and talked about APIs/CLIs but the need hasn't appeared.

Might help, might not, but it feels like it depends on what the purpose of the interaction is. If I want to build something on a platform then API, if I want to quickly run something for troubleshooting or investigation then CLI tools become useful, if I want to consume some information or have some metric without building it myself then a GUI

Would ChatOps via Slack also count as a GUI?
